The Leoch LFP1207 is a compact 12.8V 7Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery designed for applications requiring lightweight, efficient and long-life energy storage.

Delivering 89.6Wh of nominal energy while weighing only approximately 0.95kg, the LFP1207 provides a significantly lighter alternative for compatible applications where conventional battery weight and cycle life are important considerations.

Its compact 151 × 65 × 93.5mm case uses T2 terminals and carries an IP65 rating. The battery is rated for up to 5,000 cycles under the manufacturer's specified conditions.

Compact LiFePO4 power

The LFP1207 uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry with cylindrical cells. Its combination of high energy density, low weight and long cycle life makes it particularly suitable where a compact rechargeable battery is required.

The integrated battery management system provides defined charge and discharge limits, with a working voltage range of 10–14.6V.

Charging the Leoch LFP1207

The recommended charging current is 3.5A, with an upper charging voltage limit of 14.6V. The specified charging temperature range is 0°C to 55°C.

Always use a charger or charging system suitable for LiFePO4 batteries and ensure its charging profile is compatible with the battery specification.

Series and parallel battery banks

The LFP1207 supports configurations of up to 4 batteries in series and 4 batteries in parallel, allowing compatible systems to be configured for increased voltage or capacity.

Batteries used together in a bank should be appropriately matched and the complete charging and electrical system must be suitable for the intended configuration.

Important compatibility information

The LFP1207 should only be used as a replacement where the equipment, charger and electrical system are compatible with 12.8V LiFePO4 battery technology. Do not assume that a battery is suitable solely because its voltage, capacity or physical size matches an existing lead-acid battery.
